'ACTIVITY HOLIDAYS' AT MANZAC D'EN BAS
We hosted our first painting holiday in 2008 and since then our aim has been to host up to eight painting holidays per year. In that time, we have acquired a lot of experience in hosting holidays, so that they run smoothly and efficiently.
The peacefulness and beauty of the surrounding countryside and the flexibility of the accommodation and other facilities make Manzac d'en Bas the ideal location for any number of different activities. Currently we host painting holidays, photography holidays, drone flying holidays and holidays to study the wild orchids in the meadows next to Manzac. However, the possibilities are endless - creative writing, bridge holidays, language courses, cycling, mahjong, yoga retreats - you name it !
From our guests' point of view, the secret of the activity holidays at Manzac d'en Bas is that you are able to indulge in your interest / hobby / passion without the distractions of everyday life - the phone, e-mail, cooking, cleaning, shopping etc etc.
Indeed, our aim is that it is for us to do the cooking, cleaning, fetching, carrying, running around etc, so that you can ....
1. Have an enjoyable, hassle-free and relaxing holiday and
2. Concentrate on your chosen activity without any distractions.
Our holidays are all-inclusive and we provide accommodation, food and drink (wine and beer etc) throughout the week [less two visits to local restaurants which are payable at the time]. It also includes transport, both to and from the airport, and locally to painting locations and restaurants.
These holidays take place at any time outside the high season, ie during May, June, July, September and October which are often the best times to visit Manzac d’en Bas and the Ariege, as invariably, the weather is slightly cooler and the countryside is at it’s most beautiful. Holidays can start and finish on any day of the week, thus enabling participants to take advantage of cheaper mid week flights.
